The finest country shoes in the world, Bourtons are a piece of Northampton shoemaking history, and the go-to shoe for men all around the world.
Founded in 1829, Tricker’s is rightly known as the originator and perfecter of the English country brogue; a classic and specific style characterised by a heavy build, strong welts, and intricate brogueing detail.
The eponymous Tricker’s Bourton brogue is as British as it gets and has a well-deserved place in every gentleman’s shoe wardrobe.
As with all our shoes and boots, each pair of Bourton brogues are handmade in our Northampton factory in England by craftsmen and women using traditional methods, and to the same exacting standards that first established our reputation.

Kudu is a species of antelope and is indigenous to a variety of African countries. Due to their grazing habits, mainly amongst thorn trees, Kudu hide becomes scratched and scarred. These marks give the leather an inimitable character, making each pair of Bourton Brogues unique.
The high shine rub off Bookbinder effect is a coated treatment applied to the leather. Apart from the black, all colours have a darker top and then a lighter shade on the base. During our shoeroom method, we cut back this darker top to bring the lighter shade to the surface giving a two-tone effect.
