Tricker’s bespoke shoes and boots have walked to all four corners of the Earth. In 1953, they even took Sir Edmund Hillary and Sherpa Tensing to the very top of the world. Whilst bespoke is often thought of as a luxury, we also create footwear for those who simply cannot wear a conventional fit.
Within our Northampton factory, our master shoemaker Adele is following in the footsteps of generations of supremely skilled and dedicated crafts people. Adele served her apprenticeship under renowned shoemaker, Scott McKee, and now leads our bespoke team in creating handmade perfection.
Adele Williamson – Master Bespoke Shoemaker Tricker’s
Every element is made by hand, we even make the cord we use. The leathers for bespoke projects are specially selected and no stone is left unturned to ensure they are of the highest quality.
Our shoemakers follow a time-honoured process, unchanged in close to two centuries. Initially, Adele will meet you either at our Factory in Northampton or our Jermyn Street store in London, in order to take the necessary measurements and discuss your specification. The measurements are required to create a personal last that is constructed to follow the shape of your feet.
The last is made by hand. Once you have a last, we can continue to use it to make future shoes or boots, unless your feet change significantly.
