The loafer’s journey began in the early 20th century, inspired by Norwegian moccasins, before becoming a symbol of relaxed elegance in mid-century menswear. Loved for their slip-on convenience and clean silhouette, loafers have evolved to suit both casual and formal occasions. At Tricker’s, we’ve taken this classic design and infused it with the unparalleled quality and craftsmanship of our Northampton workshop.

This is an unlined penny loafer, on a flexi welt sole for added comfort and give a more deconstructed shoe. Made on last 11659 which is slightly longer and narrower than W2298. This style is suited to be worn in the warmer months whilst holidaying in the Riviera.
Penny loafer style with ¾ lining made on last W2298, this style was developed for the Italian market over 60 years ago and is normally made on a leather sole with Barbour welt, but we have recently added the James on Vibram Vi-lite sole to the collection, to give a chunky look but lightweight to wear.
This is an apron tassel loafer, that is unlined, on a flexi welt sole for added comfort and give a more deconstructed shoe. Made on last 11659 which is slightly longer and narrower than W2298.
This is a fully lines penny loafer that was first launched in the late 90’s. The last is 5567 and has a rounder, deeper toe shape to the W2298 and 11659.
This is a monk strap loafer, which was inspired from a range of shoes we found in the Tricker’s archives which was originally made in the late 1950’s and we introduced for AW24. This is made on last 6038 which is a classic town last that Tricker’s uses.
