The Bourton is the undisputed icon of the Tricker’s collection, and in this Zonta Caribou finish, it takes on a contemporary, tonal aesthetic. Built on the voluminous 4444 last, it retains its signature "full-bodied" profile and intricate wingtip broguing, but presents them in a soft, understated light.

Castorino Suede: The Velvety Standard Sourced from the renowned Zonta tannery, Castorino suede is celebrated for its exceptionally fine grain and consistent nap.

  • Caribou Colourway: A soft, stone-grey "Caribou" tone that provides a neutral, modern alternative to traditional tans and browns.

  • Tactile Elegance: The suede offers a short, dense nap that feels luxurious to the touch while remaining surprisingly resilient for daily wear.

  • Precision Broguing: The clean, smooth surface of the Castorino suede allows the detailed perforations and serrated edges of the Bourton’s wingtip design to stand out with sharp clarity.

Technical Foundation Despite its elegant upper, this Bourton remains a true country shoe at heart. It is fitted with a Dainite Rubber Sole, providing discrete traction and a streamlined profile that is perfectly suited for city pavements and formal settings alike. The shoe is finished with a dark, contrasting storm welt and tonal stitching, grounding the light Caribou upper with a sense of structural authority.

Shoe Knowledge

The Brogue

The brogue is defined as a strong outdoor shoe, distinguished by its decorative perforations. Originally, these details were entirely functional, designed to allow water to drain and allow for ventilation in wet conditions. Over time, the brogue evolved from practical footwear into a lasting staple.

An icon of Northampton shoemaking history, Tricker's styles like the Bourton have long defined the country brogue, staying true to its origins through robust construction and unmistakable detailing.

LAST NO: 4444

These are a generous fit and therefore typically larger by half a size. If you normally take a UK size 8, we recommend you try a size 7½.

Castorino Suede

In Castorino Suede the full-grain leather and skin of a hide are left intact, and the flesh side is the suede. Castorino is extremely lightweight and features a very fine nap.
