The Country Boot

Our original country boot was created back in 1840. It set the standard for craftsmanship, style and reliability to which we aspire to this day.

During World War II, Tricker's country boots were worn by British soldiers who appreciated their durability and ruggedness on the battlefield.

Today, Tricker's country boots remain popular among outdoor enthusiasts, equestrians, and fashion enthusiasts alike. Perfect for tramping the British countryside, trekking the forests of America or walking the streets of Tokyo.

LAST NO: 4497s

This last has been used for decades. It is part of our history and character as England's oldest shoe manufacturer. The size (length fitting) of Tricker’s footwear made on this last (4497s) is true to size, we recommend sticking to your regular UK size. If you are unsure of your UK size, use our size guide to convert your known size to a UK size.

C.F. Stead 'Hairy' Suede

Charles F. Stead Desert Oasis suede is championed for its soft, velvety texture and relaxed, sporting character. Carefully tanned, it offers a refined finish with a subtle, rugged nap, without becoming overly “hairy,” and is lightly oiled for a smooth velour feel.

Beyond its appearance, it’s made to endure. The tanning process helps the suede retain its texture over time, while natural variations give each pair a unique character.

Reviews

Excellent quality

"The boots are well made and the leather is soft enough to be wearable almost immediately. Customer support was very helpful to finalise my choice in size and care instructions. I can see these boots lasting many years and perhaps outlast me!"

Excellent Quality Boots

"Very happy with the purchase, wearing in nicely, stunning buffalo leather with leather linings, the inside looks as good as the outside! These are not a lightweight boot, the sturdy construction and commando sole , which is exactly what I need for the dog walks , makes me feel it could be the last pair of boots I ever buy. 10/10"

Andy G. (5/5)

"Great looking deep brown boots. Well made. the delivery was super fast and the customer service was spot on."

Burford boots with eye-catching leather in Acorn Grain Olivvia

"The Burford boots look extremely chic, the Acorn colour is a real eye-catcher and the Olivvia grain leather is super soft right from the start, so there was no need to break them in. Super fit. I am very happy with this purchase."

Christopher K. (5/5)

Incredibly soft leather

"I am loving the deerskin—it is buttery soft and also nicely structured. The Vibram V Lite sole coupled with the deerskin leather is excellent. The attention to detail with the construction is wonderful. My first pair of Trickers and not my last."

Scott K. (5/5)

"This boot is almost perfect. Almost because it is not insulated and for that reason it is great in the snow and I am currently having for about three hours. Indoors I wear the boots all day long - they are that comfortable. The leather is rather thick (a good thing), butbreak in was almost immediate. The fit was spot on with medium thick woolen socks and I believe I could go thicker if desired. The sole has been extremely slip resistant in all but black ice. I will wear these boots happily for the next decade (andbeyond. ) Ihighly recommend Trickers Boots."

George (5/5)

Fantastic deerskin Burfords

"Beautifully soft deerskin boots - these are really comfortable to wear straight out of the box, and deerskin is an interesting change from calf or kudu etc. Perfect lighter weight boots that are not at all fatiguing to wear all day long. Highly recommended!"

Guy W. (5/5)

Snug, Soft, Like Walking on Clouds

"Wonderful mix of sturdy and lightness. Deerskin is so soft and the sole makes it a comfortable boot for all-day walking from Fall to early Spring."

Ken K. (5/5)

"THE most comfortable boot I have ever owned! Love Trickers generally (3rd pair) but these deerskin leather are just the softest (but robust) boots. Have walked >100 miles in them since purchase."
