The Country Boot

Our original country boot was created back in 1840. It set the standard for craftsmanship, style and reliability to which we aspire to this day.

During World War II, Tricker's country boots were worn by British soldiers who appreciated their durability and ruggedness on the battlefield.

Today, Tricker's country boots remain popular among outdoor enthusiasts, equestrians, and fashion enthusiasts alike. Perfect for tramping the British countryside, trekking the forests of America or walking the streets of Tokyo.

LAST NO: 4497s

This last has been used for decades. It is part of our history and character as England's oldest shoe manufacturer. The size (length fitting) of Tricker’s footwear made on this last (4497s) is true to size, we recommend sticking to your regular UK size. If you are unsure of your UK size, use our size guide to convert your known size to a UK size.

Calf Leather

Calf leather is finer grained, and lighter in weight than the hide of older cattle. This means that it is also more supple. It is also very durable in comparison to its thickness.

Boots built like tanks. Love

"Boots built like tanks. Love at first sight. Their orange color is simply beautiful, and the matte finish is perfect for casual wear. Regarding the fit, I have a pair of Woodstock shoes, 5 fitting, and compared to those, the 6 fitting is wider but comfortable (with regular socks), similar to barefoot shoes; I think they would still be quite comfortable with thick socks. Speaking of length, I don't notice any difference between the fittings (5 vs 6). The leather is thick but not stiff, and it broke in relatively well after a few days. The Commando sole, to my surprise, has more cushioning than the Dainite sole on my Woodstock shoes and makes little noise when walking on hard surfaces. Overall, I found them comfortable right out of the box. Thanks."

New Favorite Boots

"These are my new favorite boots. I sold some old boots I had that I loved but were a bit too narrow. These immediately became my new favorite boots. They were extremely comfortable immediately, fit true-to-size, and I love the style. The C-Shade leather is fantastic, more rugged than calf but fine enough to still look great all the time."

Malton Country Boot - C-Shade

"These boots are outstanding. They are rugged and yet refined at the same time. They are super comfortable, easy to wear and they look great. I love the colour, it is one of those things that once you own a pair. . . when you know you know. Mine are for the town and country. I was worried about the fit as I had them shipped to Europe. I took the advice to go for my UK size. They are a wider fit but definitely not ridiculous and for me, they worked well. The ordering process was easy and Tricker's were really great (and trustworthy). I gave them a 5 out of 5 because they easily deserve it."

Excellent boots from an American.

"I love the Tricker’s shopping experience. It is so easy to order to the US. Best of British shoes and boots. Definitely my favorite. I have ordered a few pair and I am looking at the Stowe. My Maltons are sturdy and do well in an American mid west winter. Kind of like your Yorkshire. My fiancé and I are looking forward to visiting your store on Jermyn Street. I have told her of the Trkcker’s selection for women. 👍"

Malton Boots are strongly Iconic!!!

"These are the boots spoken about in Bootmakers circles for years!! They have a presence about them. Very rugged yet strongly refined. Their sharp well thought out lines with thicker more enduring leather makes for the best footwear. The flatter finish has an old school look and is appealing at first glance. Great Boots!!"

Truly stunning, exceeded expectations!

"Just got them, walking around the house. Was a little unsure about size. Being in US just could not believe I would wear a 10. Trickers was great and had a second larger 10. 5 pair out to me inside a week. 10 it is, after all. Wide width is fantastic. Overall visual impact is stunning in C shade. Brogue styling is a knockout. Will be back for more."

Beautiful and rugged

"I’m extremely impressed by how rugged the C shade leather is. It just doesn’t scuff or mark at all. And the boots are beautiful!"

"Absolutely love the classic design, superb quality and overall feel"

Love them

"I absolutely love these boots. I own about a dozen pairs of nice boots but I opted to wear these on a ten day trip to Croatia and Slovenia the day after they arrived. Every day of the trip they got better and are now perfect. My favorite boots!"
