The Bourton Country Shoe is a piece of Northampton shoemaking history, instantly recognisable by its bold wingtip profile, traditional pinked edges and heavy brogue punching. Made on our 4444 last in a 5 width fitting, it has the generous proportions of a classic Tricker’s country shoe, with a wide tread and roomy toe box. Most customers find they can drop down half a size from their standard UK shoe size for the best fit.
This version comes in Navy Museum Leather, a full-grain calf leather with a hand-mottled finish that gives each pair its own depth and variation. Dark midnight tones are layered with brighter cobalt blues, creating a rich, multi-tonal surface that will continue to develop with regular wear and care. Black elasticated side panels and robust pull tabs give an easy slip-on fit while adding a clean contrast against the navy leather.
Each pair of Bourton brogues is handmade in our Northampton factory in England by skilled craftspeople using traditional methods, and to the same exacting standards that first established our reputation. Built using Goodyear welted construction for durability and the option to be resoled in years to come, it is finished on a Ridgeway rubber sole, giving the shoe the profile of a heavier treaded sole with added shock absorption underfoot.
