The Anne is the definitive women’s country shoe, sharing the storied heritage and intricate wingtip broguing of its male counterpart, the Bourton. Built on the 6230 last, it offers a refined, elegant silhouette that stays true to standard UK sizing.

Reverse Kudu: The Rugged Suede Sourced from wild antelope and tanned by the masters at C.F. Stead in Leeds, Kudu leather is a "record of the wild."

  • The "Reverse" Finish: This edition utilises the "flesh" side of the hide, resulting in a deep, heavy-napped suede that is luxuriously soft but incredibly tough.

  • Burgundy/Black Depth: The "Black" refers to the base tannage, which provides a dark, moody foundation to the vibrant, saturated Burgundy nap.

  • Natural Suppleness: Despite its rugged origins, Kudu is one of the most comfortable leathers available, requiring minimal break-in time while remaining naturally breathable.

Precision Build & Contrast To heighten the striking aesthetic, this Anne features a secret flash of Orange leather lining, adding a bold internal contrast. It is grounded by a Dainite Rubber Sole, which provides reliable, discrete traction for all-weather wear without adding unnecessary bulk to the profile. Finished with a black storm welt and matching hardware, this is a shoe engineered for both the city and the country.

SHOE KNOWLEDGE

Brogues

Look in the dictionary and you'll read that brogues are defined as 'a strong outdoor shoe with ornamental perforated patterns in the leather' - A Bourton is the finest example of this that you will find.

The perforations synonymous with brogues were originally a functional characteristic positioned to allow water to drain from the shoes but also to allow for ventilation.

6230

This last has been developed specifically for our Women's collection and features are rounder country toe shape. The size (length fitting) of Tricker’s footwear made on this last (6230) is true to size, we recommend sticking to your regular UK Size. If you are unsure of your UK size, use our size guide to convert your known size to a UK size.

The last is a hard, three-dimensional form on which the shoe is constructed. Depending on the style of shoe we use different lasts, this is what dictates the overall shape, proportion, fit and character of the shoe.

Reverse Kudu

Reverse Kudu offers a characteristic rough, casual suede with a completely natural full grain on the reverse, which is provided oiled and waxed to provide a high level of weather proofing.

This offers comfort and durability, and the waxed suede can be readily brushed and re-waxed to restore the original look after heavy wear.
