Built on the W2298 last, the James features a sleek, city-appropriate profile that provides a close, tailored fit through the waist and heel. The design is elevated by a prominent hand-stitched apron and a unique split-toe detail, giving the loafer a distinctive, architectural character that stands out from more conventional slip-on styles.
Chocolate Repello Suede: Performance & Depth engineered to maintain its luxury appearance even through frequent use.
Rich Chocolate Hue: This deep, espresso-brown tone offers a sophisticated, grounded aesthetic that pairs exceptionally well with navy tailoring or earth-toned casual wear.
Pre-Tanned Protection: The suede is treated with a specialized protector during the tanning process, ensuring the fibres are resistant to water and stains while retaining their soft, velvet-like nap.
Natural Durability: Despite its soft handle, the full-grain integrity of the hide ensures long-term structural resilience and breathability.
Technical Build: The Lightweight Foundation To evolve the James for modern seasonal wear, we have utilised a high-performance technical sole unit.
Vibram Vi-Lite Sole: This edition is grounded by a Vibram Vi-Lite sole, an expanded rubber compound that delivers the rugged aesthetic of a heavy commando tread with a "featherweight" feel.
Exceptional Cushioning: The Vi-Lite material provides superior shock absorption and slip resistance, making it ideal for those who require all-day comfort during extended city walking.
Goodyear Construction: Fully Goodyear welted in our Northampton factory, ensuring a watertight bond and the ability for the shoe to be fully recrafted over its lifetime.

"The shoes were delivered promptly. It was the first time that I had ordered them and I went on my normal shoe size. They were a little bit too big and I I sent them back for exchange and I found this to be straight forward. The shoes look amazing and feel of great quality. Not worn them yet."
"I like the shoe, the quality is good. . But the Brexit makes it not very attractive to order. Nevertheless the shoes are very nice."
