With its “open lace” construction, the bobby is suitable for a wider fit and higher in-step. This ensures more comfort compared to an Oxford shoe which has a tighter lacing system.

The Bobby is classic and comfortable and like many of our styles they are very suitable for formal occasions and their sleek and simplistic appearance lends itself well to casual and smart casual outfits. As such, derby shoes can work just as well with a pair of jeans as they can with wool trousers.

The size (length fitting) of Tricker’s footwear made on this last (W2298) is true to size, we recommend sticking to your regular than a regular UK. If you are unsure of your UK size, use our size guide to convert your known size to a UK size.

• The Dainite Sole - First designed in 1910, this is a rubber sole with large studs that provide grip - whilst not so traditional, they do provide good all-round grip and durability for most surfaces. Dainite products have been produced since 1894 in Market Harborough, England, near Northampton. The Dainite studded sole is one of the most widely known and used products, with its original design as valid today as it was in 1910.
