The Horween Tannery in Chicago, USA was founded in 1905 and is the oldest tannery in the United States. Horween leathers employ traditional tannages and techniques, carefully updated with modern applications. Their leathers are still made by hand, as they always have been.

Horween Derby is a vegetable-tanned full-grain leather that is heavily stuffed with waxes and fats and is tumbled to add suppleness and texture. This leather has a semi-smooth, low gloss finish with occasional wrinkles on some parts of the hide. It ages beautifully over time.

The size (length fitting) of Tricker’s footwear made on this last (4497s, 6 fitting) is wider than our standard 5 fitting last. We recommend dropping at least a half size from your regular UK size. If you are unsure of your UK size, use our size guide to convert your known size to a UK size.
